Jarl Kosberg to retire

Oslo, 31 January 2022: Today Scatec will bid farewell to a leader who has dedicated years of service and loyalty to hydropower, SN Power and the successful integration into Scatec. Jarl Kosberg has played an invaluable role in ensuring that hydropower will play a vital role for Scatec in the future.

“Jarl and I made an agreement last year for him to join Executive Management Team for one year to champion the integration of SN Power into Scatec. This has gone very well, and he has become a valued member of EMT. I was hoping that Jarl would extend his contract, however, he has decided to move into retirement as was his plan. It has been a privilege and very inspiring to have him as colleague and I wish him all the best for the future”, says Raymond Carlsen, CEO of Scatec.

New structure and increased efforts in hydropower

The retirement of Jarl is resulting in a new structure in what is now known as Project Development. All business development will now be consolidated under one group, led by Terje Pilskog, now EVP for Project Development.

Eliseo Ana, Jr will be the new Head of Hydropower Development, reporting to Terje Pilskog. He will continue building and strengthening the hydropower team to achieve Scatec’s targets and ensure we focus on hydropower as a particular technology and development process.

“I have greatly appreciated working with Jarl and gained a lot of knowledge from him. I am confident that the new structure with more integration, collaboration and sharing of resources. It will increase understanding across technologies and the knowledge of the business model”, says Terje Pilskog.

Jarl is highly respected and valued in the hydropower sector, with vast knowledge, integrity, and great humour. He was an important figure throughout the proud history of SN Power and has been part of the Scatec journey from a solar developer to a multi-technology developer.
