We are changemakers

At Scatec, we are on a mission to bring clean and affordable energy to parts of the world where it’s needed most. We believe that as a team, we can make positive impact and help societies become cleaner and more sustainable. We do this by thinking differently. By innovating in everything we do. And by embracing change.

Meet our changemakers

I hope that Scatec will be the first company in the world to start construction of a large-scale green ammonia project in Oman, and that we will continue our mission to deliver clean energy through projects in high potential markets.” says engineer Abdelaziz Yatribi. Abdelaziz is Scatec’s general manager for its Middle East, North Africa, and West Africa operations.

We are in a privileged position in Scatec, involved in the big impact issues and big impact solutions. Progress demands change from all of us, both an internal change in our mindsets and external change when it comes to collaboration. We must stay ambitious, persevere through the tough times, and always remember to have fun on the way,” says Andrea Co, Country Manger, Vietnam.

Sazi Ramoekipa, mechanical engineer

Ledjane Oliveira, community liaison officer

In order to build a long-term future for Scatec in Brazil, we need to build relationships of trust. That means listening, understanding, and involving them when we run projects. And when we do this right, we can improve the future,” says community liaison officer (CLO) Ledjane Oliveira.

CLOs like Ledjane are Scatec’s frontline workers. They are typically the first to be hired to a renewable energy project, and early on they are responsible for mapping out the area and engaging with local stakeholders.

Cecilia Welchez, electrical engineer

I am very proud of being the first woman engineer in my family – the daughter of a single mother and the first in her family to make it to university. I’m also proud to be the first woman O&M engineer in Scatec, operating the first plant in Latin America. I also happen to be the first certified drone pilot in Honduras,” says Cecilia Welchez.

Being a changemaker isn’t about doing things the easy way – it’s about making a difference. Cecilia is an advocate of bringing more women into Scatec and the engineering profession.
