Scatec ASA has been informed that the Scatec-name is currently being misused in a scam attempt aimed at Tanzanian residents. We have received requests from individuals regarding an alleged investment opportunity offered through online platforms by “Scatec Tanzania.” Scatec ASA does not have operations in Tanzania and is not the owner of the online pages claiming to be “Scatec Tanzania”.
We have notified the owner of the pages that we have become aware of the unauthorised use of copyrighted material belonging to Scatec ASA. The owner of these pages has neither asked for nor received permission to use such materials and we have therefore demanded the owner of these sites to cease the use and distribution of such materials with immediate effect and desist from further use.
