In 2011, SN Power enters three new markets; Brazil, Panama and Zambia.
In Brazil, SN Power acquires all the shares in Enerpar, up to then, a subsidiary of Norske Skog Group. The acquisition marks SN Power’s first investment in a pure energy trading company.
In Zambia, Agua Imara becomes partner with Wonda Gorge Investments, and acquires 51% in Lunsemfwa Hydro Power Company (LHPC). LHPC owns two power plants, Mulungushi (28.5 MW) and Lunsemfwa (18 MW).
LHPC also holds the right to develop further hydropower plants.
In addition, Agua Imara enters into a partnership with EDM in Mozambique.
In Panama, Agua Imara and Credicorp Group begin development of the Bajo Frio hydropower plant (58 MW). Agua Imara owns 50.1% of the project.
In India, SN Power and Tata Power win the bidding for the development rights for the Dugar power plant (350 MW).
