What is your story with Scatec?
I started working at Scatec in March 2018 after a break from doing legal work at an international law firm. During that break, I ran a company in the art industry. After this entrepreneurial side-track I decided to get back into law. I noticed the role within Scatec which made me enthusiastic as I would become the first legal counsel for Scatec in the Netherlands and my role would be to assist the managing director of the Dutch subsidiary in setting up the Dutch platform from a legal perspective. A listed company being active worldwide with an entrepreneurial mentality appealed to me. On top of that, I would be able to contribute to improving our future, hence I was very excited to start working. Even though setting up the Dutch platform came with quite some challenges and hard work, I really enjoyed growing together with Scatec and it makes me proud to see what we have accomplished in a relatively short time. As the Dutch platform is now functioning well, I am looking forward to further developing myself, be more involved in legal transaction work and assist the legal team in Oslo.
What do you think makes Scatec unique?
For me the uniqueness of Scatec lies within the people working for the company and the way they work together. Working with so many nationalities located all over the world, all highly skilled, ambitious, and inspiring people, creates this unique work environment, within a non-hierarchical organisation with short lines of communication. On top of that, everyone has a friendly, supportive, flexible, and respectful attitude which makes you feel we all matter, and this adds value to reach our common goal: improving our future. It connects the team in a special way, and it motivates people to grow and develop within the company, which is actively supported by Scatec, something that I have also experienced myself.
